TWT Course: Technical Writing Authoring and Reviewing @ Nov 7 & 8 – Session 1

The 2-day course module helps you understand how to use Style Guide and Templates during Technical Writing Authoring and the Technical Documentation Review process. In this module, we will cover style guides, creating templates, reviewing checklist, editing process, elements of document, other key processes of document.


IMPORTANT!! Those who have registered for Technical Writing Fundamentals Course should not register separately for this Module.

      3. Examples – CSS, Markdown

Day 2: Review Process, Migration and Elements of documents

    1. Editing & Proofreading
      • Concept
      • Copy Editing and Proof-reading
      • Reader Advocacy
      • Readability Score
    2. Reviewing (Checklists)
      1. Type of reviews – self, peer, technical/SME/Product owner, editorial, Stakeholders –  customer-facing and Internal
      2. Communication plan – due by date
    3. Other considerations:
      • Localization or the Regional touch 
      • Accessibility – Introduce the concept 
      • Migrating: Writing Considerations 
      • Elements of documents – TOC, content, visuals, tables, notes

Dr Anu Singh & Punit Shrivastava

Dr Anu Singh is in the business of ensuring the success of customers using IT solutions and banking products provided by her organisation by supporting their product adoption journey. She has 15+ years of experience in the areas for technical communication, career development, coaching, mentoring and training for technical communicators.

Punit Shrivastava is involved in mentoring and helping technical writing community for a long time. He prefers sharing knowledge and learning with the focus on having a skilled community. He has 20+ years of experience in the field of writing that spreads across writing for English daily, The Asian Age, and 17+ experience in technical documentation.
