Stories that built a tribe.

For our 6th anniversary, we asked the community one open question: what's your TWT story? Members answered across city WhatsApp groups and on LinkedIn — no word limit this time, just whatever six years meant to them. Here's what came back, in their own words.

This Technical Writers (TW) group has always been a true savior for many of us. As technical writers, we often work independently or in very small teams, sometimes with limited guidance. Yet, this community has consistently been there to support, guide, and encourage us. The discussions keep us updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in technical writing — and the learning opportunities shared here are something we should truly appreciate. Congratulations on completing 6 wonderful years! Here's to many more years of learning, sharing, and supporting one another.

TWT made me who I am today. The opportunity to touch the lives of so many tech writers wouldn't have been possible without my association with TWT. Heartiest congratulations on the completion of 6 magnificent years of democratizing Technical Writing. You truly changed the landscape of this domain in India 🙏🏼.

A heartfelt thank you to all my fellow Technical Writers in this group. In a time when AI is reshaping our profession and layoffs have created uncertainty, the discussions, advice, and shared experiences here have been a source of encouragement and confidence for me. Thank you for reminding me of the strength of our community. Let's continue to stay connected, uplift one another, and support our tribe through every challenge and opportunity ahead. ❤️ #6downmoretogo

Grateful to TWT… Expressing my thanks to Punit Shrivastava and the TWT team for keeping the community aligned with the new techniques and tools evolving in the TW field. Personally, I learnt a lot about tech writing principles and their application — special mention to the AI mastery course conducted by Aman, currently in progress. 🎊🎉 Appreciate and keep the good work going…

I'm unable to be as active as I'd have hoped to be, but this platform, this bond, this sense of community, persists. Getting stronger, even in trying times. I remember the inception of TWT when we had less than 15 folks in those Sunday conversations — and now we're thousands. The growth has been exponential and I couldn't be more proud. Thank you for existing, TWT. ❤️

Thank you, Tech Writer Tribe! 💜 My journey with TWT started with learning MadCap Flare, and since then it has been an important part of my technical writing career. Through TWT, I also learned Docs-as-Code, Markdown, Jekyll, and GitHub, which helped me grow beyond traditional documentation practices. The community has consistently shared valuable industry knowledge, trends, and insights, and I've attended several eye-opening offline conferences that introduced me to new ideas in the technical communication industry. In these times of rapid AI-driven change, TWT has been a guiding light through its webinars, discussions, and community support. Happy 6th Anniversary, TWT! 🎉 Thank you to all the community members for helping me learn, grow, and stay future-ready. 💜

I thank the presence of such a community that allowed many an author like me to get a window peek into the outside world of TW — what and how other TWs are up to, how the field is emerging, sharing one's achievements, instant feedback, and so on, especially for those of us otherwise busy operating from cocooned offices day in and day out. Also a big thank you to the organizers for the many interactive sessions, most of which I only wished to attend but did not make it to. The insights from the professional-yet-social banter have been pretty helpful to me from time to time. Happy 6th Anniversary TWT!!! Wishing us all more of these lively chats and the same intimacy in the years to come — TWT can only get more helpful to us as we all try to surf the AI wave in our own (limited) ways!!!

This group started during Covid — if I'm not wrong, the first session was taken by Punit, on agile technical writing. Those days we used the platform Amazon Chime. Came a long way... Just wanted to express my sincere thanks to this group. Whether it's troubleshooting complex documentation or refining style guides, the collective knowledge shared here is a true game-changer. Thanks everyone.

I would like to thank Punit Shrivastava — he helped me through the process of being a volunteer. This was my first time volunteering for a group. He just gave me that extra push and the belief I needed. Also, thanks for the recognition as a volunteer with TWT Hyd — I still remember it, it's one of my memorable moments.

Thank you Punit Shrivastava and Pallavi Deshpande for all of your efforts in bringing the tribe this far. From conducting online courses to offline workshops and meets, it's all been because of your commitment to this cause. Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors for events held over the years. I always felt like I had my own tribe and group here, since I was an individual contributor and the only technical writer in my company.

Congratulations, Punit and the entire Tech Writer's Tribe fraternity! A great milestone, indeed. TWT has rendered valuable service to the technical writing community by equipping a number of fresh graduates with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to pursue Technical Writing as a career, through structured training programs that bridge the gap between writers' current skills and industry expectations. Thanks TWT for making a difference over the last 6+ years — here's wishing loads of success and many more milestones.

Thanks to my tribe, because they gave me a local platform to connect with fellow writers around me. The activities, questionnaires, quizzes, and interactions are interesting and helpful — it's the first medium to understand what's happening in the Hyderabad tech writing industry especially. And yes, not to forget the meet-ups — excited to be part of them whenever I can. Thank you, and wish you more success.

For me, this platform is giving me wonderful opportunities for interacting and letting me speak my thoughts on new dimensions in Tech Comm. If TWT weren't here in Gujarat, so many direct and indirect events couldn't happen. 🙂 Thank you!
