Editor's Note - August 2023
Succeeding together!
‘Where there is a will there’s a way’. We are successfully pressing forward on our Newsletter journey with the arrival of the August 2023 Edition. August, being the month of Indian Independence, holds a special emotion for all Indians. TWT commemorated the occasion by organising a quiz contest centred on #WriteItRight, introducing new sections like AI Corner, and Tips & Tricks.
Tech Writer’s Tribe has a positive and inclusive approach, focusing on providing services and support to those who need them. This philosophy emphasises the importance of determination and effort rather than adhering to a Social Darwinism viewpoint. Offering a range of services from creating web content and manuals to assisting with tech writing processes and team setups, can be incredibly valuable in today’s tech-driven world.
In this edition, we are happy to showcase the literary work of Suyog Ketkar, a notable author, with his piece titled, “What my favourite quotes on writing taught me about writing.” We appreciate Shivani Waikar, a seasoned Technical Writer, for her exquisitely crafted piece of writing that discusses the utilisation of a Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) to elevate the product experience. We are also excited to present key moments from the conference organised by the TWT Pune team on July 22, 2023.
As we say, we are global citizens. Today, our teams are scattered around every corner of the world. Be it technical writing or any other field, seamless collaboration is the key to the success of any project. As technical writers, we deeply recognize that the path to crafting impeccable and outstanding documents necessitates harmonious teamwork, involving developers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and various other contributors.
Based on a harmonious collaborative approach, several trends in technical writing have emerged and will continue to evolve. For instance, the escalating integration of AI and Automation, the ascent of content strategy prominence, the pivot towards agile methodologies, and beyond.
Simultaneously, the ongoing progression of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies, coupled with the pervasive adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) might very well shape the forthcoming landscape of technical documentation.
Adaptability stands as the foundation for a technical writer to succeed. We must be ready to keep pace with the changing technologies. It will surely give the whole technical writing process a heightened engagement, user-centricity, and an unprecedented level of dynamism.
Let’s be together and witness the Evolution of Technical Writing.
Thanks.
“Few people have the imagination for reality.”
