TWT Release Notes (Survey): Is Release Notes Public or Private?
Tech Writer’s Tribe conducted a global survey to understand how the technical writers work on Release Notes. Participants from several countries shared their experiences, that are divided into multiple reports.
The statistical data is displayed in different sections of the Newsletter. For details about responses, links to Release Notes, tools used, and more, access and download the PDF file of the report from the REPORT tag of Tech Writer’s Tribe App.
With PDF output ruling the survey, Release Notes tend to be more of a private affair. Even with HTML output, access is given only to a selected few. The survey result is inclined more towards private.

TWT Release Notes (Survey): What is the Output Format?
Release Notes is still not made public by many companies. With some domains, it is always access-based shared with customers. Release Notes are shared publicly in some domains. 40% of the participants mentioned using only the PDF format for controlled internal and external distribution.
